Here is the trailer for the 20min. short Zero Point currently in the post production stage. Written and directed by Hank Isaac, I was Director of Photography and camera operator on the project as well as editor for the short. We shot the entire project with the Panasonic HPX170 which uses P2 cards. The Redrock M2 35mm DOF Adaptor was also incorporated in the shooting of it. Hank and I had discussions about the look we wanted to achieve with the final project in a number of pre-production meetings. As time went on, we started feeling strongly that it needed to be in B&W, with a film noir look. We felt that it would also pay homage to the older style film look or Rod Serlings Twilight Zone series from the late 50's and early 60's. We did a bunch of lighting tests (many long hours worth) weeks prior to the actual shooting, with Hank standing in for the subject at the actual interior location where filming was to eventually take place; the historic Hartley Mansion in Everett, WA.
